Starting in August my favorite Dahlia blooms with the most amazing mix of colors of cream, soft brown and pink. The 8-10" blooms are wonderful in flower arrangements and in wedding bouquets. The Dahlias can reach 36-48" tall, needs full sun and blooms until frost. Mixing them with white hydrangeas makes a great combination in arrangements. I also enjoy Gardenia 'Frostproof' this time of year with the purest of white petals and fragrance so enticing.
